Gus Bostrom , Founder and Chairman of The Dirk van Erp Foundation, has been involved in The American Arts & Crafts Movement since the late 1980s. He owns California Historical Design, Inc and both of which specialize in extraordinary examples of The American Arts & Crafts Movement such as vintage Stickley furniture, American decorative ceramics, early 20th paintings and Dirk van Erp hammered copper.

Mr Bostrom is the author of Bay Area Copper 1900-1950, Dirk van Erp & His Influence and curated the exhibition by the same name in 2012 at his gallery in Berkeley, CA. Mr Bostrom is currently writing another book, The Studio Workshop of Dirk van Erp along with curating an exhibition by the same name to be held at his gallery in Berkeley, CA November 8th – December 13th, 2014.


Dr. Andre Chaves of Pasadena, CA has been an Arts & Crafts collector since the 1980s. He owns The Clinker Press, a private letterpress studio making limited edition books about Art, Arts and Crafts and Literature.

Dorothy Beattie of Santa Rosa, CA has been an Arts & Crafts collector for over 30 years and has been on Trustee of Gustav Stickley’s Craftsman Farms Foundation since 2006.


Tim Hansen is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Cornell Law School. He works as a project manager developing properties and businesses. He has served on the City of Berkeley’s Landmarks Commission and the Energy Commission. He has also served on the board of many non-profit organizations including Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association, the Community Energy Services Corporation, and Berkeley’s Committee of Neighborhood Associations. He served on the board of Berkeley’s Hillside Club and was it’s president for two years. He also is a dealer in antiquarian books, focusing on design from the period of 1880 through 1920. He has given talks on Arts & Crafts design and early Arts & Crafts furniture.


Dan Miller has been collecting Arts & Crafts pieces since the 1970s. He is a rare book collector and real estate developer and lives in Berkeley, CA.


Joan Parker is the great-granddaughter of Dirk van Erp and granddaughter of Agatha van Erp Hooy.


Thomas Reynolds has been collecting Dirk van Erp pieces since the 1980s. He owns an art gallery in San Francisco, The Thomas Reynolds Gallery


Bill van Erp is the great-grandson of Dirk van Erp and works as a librarian in San Francisco for the architectural firm Gensler. Bill’s father, Dirk van Erp, was an architect who practiced in San Francisco for over 40 years.
